Volunteers are needed to host an information table about the Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley chapter at a local ShopRite location. Volunteer Ambassadors will spread the news about the organization's latest wishes, educate others about its mission, promote upcoming events, and encourage table visitors to donate online or at the cash register.
Volunteers will be expected to set up the table with provided supplies and pack the table up at the end of the day.
A volunteer's skillset includes:
- Communication: clear and concise speaking and interacting with table visitors; open to social interactions with others
- Organizational: table set up, information management
- Teamwork: collaboration and flexibility with partner volunteers and volunteer coordinator
- Promotional/Interpersonal: friendly and approachable, comfort with fundraising promotion and with marketing materials (showing table visitors upcoming events, how to volunteer, and who to contact if they are interested)
