United Way of the Dutchess-Orange Region needs volunteers to help unpack, sort and organize our storage space filled with donated items. United Way collects new items from local department stores, national manufacturers and neighbors to distribute to nonprofit agencies, faith-based organizations and schools. These items include, personal hygiene items, youth clothing and shoes, adult clothing, bedding, household items, school supplies and much, much more.

Volunteer with us at our Pull the Tank Fundraiser on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Thomas Bull Memorial Park from 8 am- 2 pm
Here are some of the job roles that we would need help with/filled:
Breakfast duties: helping set up the bagel donations, giving out the food to volunteers and participants, making sure that the line runs smoothly, helping clean up after the breakfast period is done.
Would need multiple people to help with road signs to enter the event.
Registration (checking people in, waivers, giving out wristbands, and tickets)
A couple people stay in the tent while pulling is happening to write the times on the board.
Meet and greet, directing people in the right direction and staying by the gate as people go in.
T-shirt and gloves give out and checklist for sizes.
Parking help, directing people to the right lot and directing traffic.
Putting up signs at the event
Need assistance for clean-up after the event.
