Opportunity:Grant Reviewer (Remote Opportunity)

Date:03/02/2026 - 04/30/2026

Agency:United Way of the Dutchess-Orange Region

Each year in February, United Way facilitates a competitive Request for Proposals process in which nonprofits in Dutchess and Orange Counties apply to receive funding under Health, Education, Financial Stability and Veteran's Needs that align with goals identified by our community.

As an organization that touches the lives of 1 in 4 local residents, we recognize the need to include a diverse representation of the community in reviewing and scoring the applications we receive. These assessments determine funding for fiscal year 2026-2027. This process not only gives you, as the reviewer, a voice in community change; it also gives you great awareness of the programs that many nonprofits in our community are executing each day.

As a grant reviewer you would be included among a group of almost 150 community stakeholders consisting of executives and professionals in the business, education, government, nonprofit and faith-based community in making funding decisions.

We are asking each reviewer to commit to the following:

· Review and score 5 applications online in late March/early April

· Participate in a 3 hour (VIRTUAL) roundtable discussion in April to evaluate scores and make decisions on funding recommendations to present to the United Way Board of Directors
